Pants on Fire

I received a voicemail the other day.  The caller left this message: “We spoke about refinancing your home a while back.  It wasn’t the right time for you then, but you asked me to check back with you at a later date to see if we could work together.”

But we had never spoken.  Ever.  About anything.  The caller had been lying to me.

I thought to myself, why would I purposely deal with someone where his first interaction with me is a lie?  If lying is his go-to move, then how could I possibly trust anything he ever says?

For most people, the Vice-Presidential debate was the first time they got a good look at the Democrat’s pick for vice president, Kamala Harris.  That was their first opportunity to see what kind of a VP she would be.

She was asked point-blank if Joe Biden was going to pack the Supreme Court if elected.  She replied to the question by telling a (inaccurate) story about Abraham Lincoln.  She never did answer the question.  There were only two possible answers to the question, yes or no.  But she gave neither.

They obviously have a plan.  But the Biden campaign won’t tell people what that plan is.  Undoubtedly, someone is going to be upset regardless if her answer is “yes” or “no”.  She and Joe Biden are trying to play both sides of the fence.  So, instead of answering the question, she blatantly dodged it.  And that, is a lie by omission.

At the end of the debate, the candidates’ spouses came on stage.  Doug Emhoff (Kamala Harris’ husband) was wearing a mask, Karen Pence was not.  That kicked off an outrage on social media claiming it was “a slap in the face to the 200,000 people who died [of coronavirus]”.  Ignored was the fact that there is video of her wearing a mask during the debate.

What you probably haven’t heard was that the two sides had agreed that the spouses would come on stage without masks.  After the uproar started, Kara Brooks, the second lady’s spokesperson released a statement saying (in part).

“Second Lady Karen followed an agreement established between both campaigns prior to the debate,” the statement read. “Both sides agreed that the spouses would remove their masks when they walked onto the stage at the end of the debate.”

Perhaps Doug Emhoff simply changed his mind.  There’s nothing wrong with that.  But if that were the case, why not just tell everyone that’s what happened and that Ms. Pence wasn’t at fault?  Because, the more likely answer is that this was a planned ambush and smear campaign against the Second Lady.  A smear campaign fueled by lies and deceit.

Kamala Harris had one chance to make a first impression as a VP candidate.  Presumably she was on her best behavior so that you could see her best side.  That means that we saw her true colors.  She is a liar and will do and say (or not say) whatever she can to get your vote.

Kamala Harris is asking you to enter a relationship with her as Vice President of the United States.  But, she lies, deflects and obfuscates with nearly everything she says and does.

I live in California so I’m very familiar with Kamala Harris and I’m aware of her propensity for lying.  It’s her “go-to” move. I don’t believe anything she says.

Kamala Harris is lying at me.  Because I’ve seen past her schemes and I know the type of person she truly is.  As someone meeting her for the first time, she’s lying to you.  And that’s much worse.
