I was watching an episode of Star Trek: Discovery last night and saw a cameo appearance by Mr. Spock. He has spoken many a wise thing over the years and I suspect that, given the chance, Mr. Spock would have quite a lot to say about the 2020 election. If I were to interview him, I think it would go something like this:
Mike: Mr. Spock, thank you for joining us this morning. I appreciate you taking the time to meet with me.
Spock: “If there are self-made purgatories, then we all have to live in them.”
Mike: Okaaay. Right. Moving on then…do you think that congressmen should be protecting their careers, or should they do the right thing and object to the counting of votes based on fraudulent elections?
Spock: “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”
Mike: What do you think of the notion that the accusations of election fraud are “baseless”?
Spock: “Highly illogical.”
Mike: But the Democrats are insisting that Joe Biden won the election fairly and that there is no evidence of cheating.
Spock: “In critical moments, men sometimes see exactly what they wish to see.”
Mike: Do you find it strange that courts are dismissing cases without even considering the mountain of evidence in front of them?
Spock: “Insufficient facts always invite danger.”
Mike: I don’t understand why Biden supporters are simply ignoring things they don’t want to believe.
Spock: “This is not logical, but it is often true.”
Mike: Why are so many people working so hard to make sure that attempts to uncover fraud are blocked at every turn?
Spock: “Madness has no purpose. Or reason. But it may have a goal.
Mike: There is growing evidence that China has corrupted our politicians and our media. Is there any way to stop their influence?
Spock: “Without followers, evil cannot spread.”
Mike: Some are saying that claims of election fraud are merely conspiracy theories and that there is no “deep state” manipulating things behind the scenes. Any thoughts?
Spock: “When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.“
Mike: Do you have anything to say to the people who have such a maniacal hatred of President Trump that they don’t care who is elected, as long as it’s not him.
Spock: “After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting.”
Mike: One last question. The Democrats have perpetrated the largest crime in history against the people of America. How would you respond if you were told by them to essentially “suck it up and deal with it”?
Spock: “If I were human I believe my response would be ‘go to hell’. If I were human.”
Mike: Thank you again for your time. I found the experience fascinating.
Spock: “That’s right…you humans have that emotional need to express gratitude. ‘You’re welcome,’ I believe, is the correct response.”
Mike: OK. Cut. That’s a wrap.
Mike here again:
It’s time for our representatives and senators to stand up and do what’s right. They need to fight against the corruption that has so obviously permeated Washington so that the rest of us can “live long and prosper”.
