Blindingly Obvious

Phones don’t ring anymore, but people still say, “my phone is ringing”.  You also don’t “dial” a number anymore, but people still use that term too.  Ask a millennial what dialing a phone means and they’ll know that it means calling someone.  But, ask them why we use the term “dialing” and most of them won’t have a clue.

There are a lot of similar words that we use every day.  Words that we all understand the meaning of, but have no clue of why we use them.

One such term is “blinders”, as in, “you’re wearing blinders”.  We’ve all used the term, but how many of us actually understand what it means?

Blinders are pieces of equipment, typically leather or plastic, placed on a horse’s head that force it to look in only one direction.  The blinders obstruct the horse’s vision, allowing them to only look in the direction their head is pointing.

By controlling the direction in which the horse’s head is pointing, the rider controls what the horse looks at, and therefore controls what it can see.  And, if they can control what the horse sees, they can control its reality.  Because, for the most part, if the horse can’t see something, then to them, it doesn’t really exist.

The Democrats and the Liberal media are trying to put blinders on all of us.  They’re trying to control what we look at, so they can control what we see, and control our reality.

Here’s an example.  On January 6th, some people broke into the Capitol building.  Well, actually some ANTIFA people broke into the building and some not-so-smart people followed them inside.  Everywhere you look, they’re being called “violent insurrectionists”.  Well, actually, only the Trump supporters are called “violent insurrectionists” because the authorities let the ANTIFA people go free.

Images taken out of context and edited videos are being used to keep people looking in one direction, effectively blinding them to things they might otherwise see.

But, they can’t blind everyone.  Here’s a video from inside the Capitol building.  It’s a good example of what the Left doesn’t want you to see.

You see, what they don’t want you to do is to start thinking for yourself.  Because then you’d start to wonder how the people in the video above are “violent insurrectionists” but ANTIFA rioters, who have been burning cities for over a year, are “mostly-peaceful protestors”.  You’d have to wonder why people who are taking selfies inside the Capitol building are worse than the people taking everything from a Target.

And they can’t have that.  So, they try to put blinders on you. Because they think that if they can control what we look at, they can control what we believe.

The bad news is that this is just one example of how the Left is using blinders to keep people under their control.  Every story they tell is twisted and spun to keep you from seeing anything other than what they want you to look at.  Everything they do and say is designed to keep you from being distracted by pesky little things like facts.

The good news is that blinders don’t work on everyone.  If you’re an independent thinker, you’ll easily see past the barriers that are being used in an attempt to keep your attention focused in one direction.  And you won’t blindly believe a reality that doesn’t truly exist.

In case you haven’t figured it out, blinders don’t work so well on Conservatives.  Because Conservatives think for themselves.  Blinders do, however, work exceedingly well on Liberals.

How many of you have tried to reason with a Liberal only to find they refuse to be swayed by facts, logic and reason?  I’m guessing quite a few of us have shared that experience.  Why can’t we get them to see things that are so blindingly obvious to the rest of us?

That’s easy.  It’s because you can lead a Liberal to knowledge, but you can’t make him think.
