Remember last summer? Sure you do. There were a bunch of people who hated President Trump and a bunch of people who loved him. For every person criticizing every move he made, there was someone ready to fire back with an equal amount of praise for his policies.
Both sides were nearly equally as passionate about the same issues. They just disagreed with why they were passionate. Many people blamed him for things they were told he did, and about the same number of people applauded him for the things he actually did do..
This love and hate relationship has occurred with every President I can remember. The people who disagree with his policies are very vocal about how he has ruined the country and the people who agree with his policies are very vocal about the great things he’s done.
It didn’t matter what Trump did, you could find people who thought it was great as easily as you could find people who thought he was an idiot. Keep in mind, Big Media hated (hates) Trump, so being able to hear anything about his supporters would have been much more difficult to do than hearing about his distractors. And yet there seemed to be about the same number of people cheering for Trump as there were people jeering at him.
According to the “results” of the 2020 election, 51% of the voters voted for Joe Biden and 47% voted for President Trump. About 7 million more people voted for Biden than did for Trump.
It’s pretty easy to find people who are vocal about their disapproval about “president” Biden. But where are the people who love what he’s doing? Why aren’t we hearing from anyone who thinks he’s doing a great job?
Presumably, more than half the country believes that the following are good things:
- allowing tens of thousands of illegal aliens to freely flow over our southern border.
- solving the problem of illegal aliens by simply calling them something else (noncitizens).
- his support of a “woke”, Marxist agenda.
- his efforts to allow Iran to become a nuclear power.
- eliminating our energy independence.
- distributing illegal aliens across the country so they become the problem of local communities.
- disarming law-abiding citizens.
- allowing boys to compete against girls in sports.
While it’s easy to find people who will complain about the things listed above, I haven’t heard anyone claim these are good ideas. Why is that? History has shown us that we should hear both people who find his policies wonderful and people who find his policies to be absurd. What we’re hearing is all “con” and no “pro”.
Why aren’t the 51% of the people who voted for him proudly, and loudly, expressing their support?
That’s easy. Like moms everywhere have been telling kids for ages, “If you can’t say anything good about someone, don’t say anything at all.”
We don’t see an outpour of support for “president” Biden’s policies because they’re bad policies. We don’t hear anyone shouting their support of Joe Biden because they’re ashamed to be associated with him.
Many of the people who voted Joe into office have realized that they screwed up. They now understand that they were hoodwinked into voting for addled-brain Joe, and that they made a world-class blunder. But it’s hard for people to admit when they’ve made a mistake, so instead they say nothing.
While some people may still believe that “he’s not Trump” was reason enough to vote for someone, they’re embarrassed because they elected this particular “not Trump”. They may still want to express their support for Biden, but he’s not giving them any material to work with.
And that’s why we don’t hear anyone saying good things about Biden and his policies. It’s because there simply aren’t any good things to say.
