For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a hearing problem. It’s not a huge problem, and nowhere near being a disability. My problem is that in a crowded room, I have trouble picking out a single voice from all the background noise. I can do it. I just have to work at it.
Which is why I prefer conversations with one or two people in a quiet setting. I’m fine then. But when the background noise reaches a certain level, I can’t hear what I’m supposed to be listening to.
Likewise, the COVID hysteria was creating a ton of background crazy that was, oftentimes, overpowering. Try as we might, when there is so much insanity happening, it’s difficult to pick out any single bit of lunacy.
If we’ve only learned one thing over the last couple of years, it’s that the world is woefully unprepared for a real pandemic. If the COVID nonsense had actually been as dangerous as claimed, then a lot of people would have been in really deep shit.
There were so many inconsistencies in the official narrative that it was impossible to believe that anyone had any idea what they were talking about. The random decisions made, and mandates implemented, were just to make it appear like someone knew what they were doing, and were obviously nonsense to anyone possessing just a tiny amount of curiosity and common sense.
These lies, half-truths and crazy-stupid policies are going to make it even more difficult when a real pandemic happens. Because, after listening to the authorities cry “wolf” for more than two years, nobody is going to believe there’s actually a wolf coming when they hear it again.
I told you last year that the end of this whole COVID nonsense wouldn’t come quickly. I said that it would take months for the crazy mandates and restrictions to go away completely. I was right.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen that happen. The background noise of COVID crazy is slowly dissipating, leaving only the truly idiotic. When you peel away the sort-of-crazy, you can finally see the hardcore crazy that lies beneath.
Here are some examples:
Just the “Facts”
Now, before we get to this first one, I want you to keep in mind, this is April of 2022 when anyone with their eyes open can see for themselves that masks are useless. The vast majority of people who never bothered to wear a mask are not only fine, most of them never even contracted COVID. And if they did catch it, the rate was no greater than the rate of people who wore masks all the time.
Which is why this is insane. I saw a tweet the other day that said, “Masks are safe and effective at helping prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to health officials and fact-checkers.”
Really?
That’s wrong on a couple different levels. First of all, the term “health officials isn’t what it used to be. One of these so-called “health officials” is Richard (a.k.a. Rachel) Levine, a guy who thinks he’s a woman. I can’t take anything he says seriously. I mean, the dude is obviously delusional. How am I supposed to know that he’s not just identifying as someone who mistakenly thinks masks are effective?
And when did fact checkers become the gold standard for truthfulness? How big of a rock does someone have to be living under to still believe fact-checkers are anything except part of the government propaganda engine?
Maybe somewhere, someone is thinking, “I wasn’t convinced masks are a good thing when it was just some doctor saying it. But when the fact-checkers give their seal of approval, I’m on board.”
Can you imagine being someone who spent years going through medical school only to find that your opinion carries the same weight as the opinion of someone who’s merely quoting CNN?
Rhode Island Insanity
Last week, Samuel Bell, a state senator from Rhode Island, proposed legislation that would force citizens of Rhode Island to be vacksinated against COVID, or risk being fined. Additionally, his bill states that those not willing to be injected with an experimental drug have their personal income taxes doubled. The reason? His son is unhealthy and at risk for any number of diseases. COVID just being one of them. So, in an effort to keep his kid safe, he’s willing to force everyone else to risk their own lives.
The only way his actions could possibly make sense is if he believes that the vackseens make people immune and/or unable to transmit the virus. Except that they don’t. They never did. So, not only is this senator attempting to use the power of his office for personal reasons, he’s also an idiot.
New York State of Mind
Kyrie Irving is an NBA player with the New York Nets. He’s been benched for most of this season’s home games because he refused to be vacksinated. And New York City required all employees of any business based in the city to be vacksinated. He could play on the road, just not in New York City.
That’s not the crazy part. Kyrie couldn’t play in home games because of New York’s law. But that law only applied to companies based in New York City. So, unvacksinated players from anyplace in the country other than New York City could travel to New York and play basketball. For some reason, it was believed that the level of contagiousness is affected by where you live.
This is a good example of the inmates running the asylum. New York has since relaxed the mandate a tiny bit by allowing athletes and entertainers to perform without being vacksinated. Because, apparently, you can’t spread COVID if you’re at least mildly entertaining.
Push the Right Button
U.S. Health and Human Services Director Xavier Becerra is pissed. He recently learned (or at least recently admitted) that the COVID vackseens are killing people. But that’s not what has his undies in a bunch. He’s upset because the vackseens are killing white people at a higher rate than black, brown or beige people.
To be clear, his issue isn’t that people are being killed, it’s that there’s not enough white people being killed. Apparently, if white people were dying at the same rate as minorities, he’d be cool with that.
We’ve known about the vackseens killing people for over a year. It kept getting swept under the rug by people like Fauci and ignored by Big Media. But start blaming it on racism and suddenly the politicians are on it like white on rice.
Being a man of action, Xavier Becerra has a plan. Now, when faced with the fact that an experimental drug is killing people, any reasonable person would conclude that we should stop giving the drug to everyone until we figure out what’s wrong. And that’s exactly the conclusion Xavier Becerra would have come to, if he were a reasonable man.
But he’s not. So, he didn’t. His plan? Even though he has admitted that people are dying from being injected with the COVID vackseens, he vowed, “to work harder to get more people vacksinated”. What the fuck.
As you can see, now that the background crazy is slowly dissipating, it’s much easier to filter out the hardcore crazy from the noise. But don’t get used to it. Because it won’t be long before yet another variant is hyped as “the next dangerous thing” and hardcore crazy fades again into the background.
