Title Nein!

Late last year, I asked the question, “How many women have to die before men are banned from competing in women’s sports?”  Of course, the answer should be “zero.”

I asked that question because of the increasing number of instances where girls are being seriously injured after being forced to play against men.

Did I say forced?  I guess they weren’t really forced.  They could always decline to compete when a boy/man is on the opposing team.

You might think so.  But you’d be wrong.

Clear and present danger

In February of last year, the coach of the Mid-Vermont Christian School’s girls’ basketball team forfeited a game against a team, a girls’ team mind you, that included a boy on its roster.

Seems like a reasonable thing to do.  Right?  While I’m sure there was a religious component involved, the coach says he forfeited the game out of concern for the girl’s safety.

The result?  Mid-Vermont Christian School has been banned from competing against…anyone.

That’s right.  The Vermont Principals’ Association made a statement to CNN that said, in part, that the school,

“…has every right to teach its beliefs to its own students. It cannot, however, impose those beliefs on students from other public and private schools; deny students from other schools the opportunity to play; or hurt students from other schools because of who those students are.”

In other words, in Vermont, the potential for hurt feelings outweighs the potential for physical harm.

But this wasn’t about beliefs.  Unless you count the belief that a boy competing on a girls’ team poses a clear and present danger to the other athletes.

So, maybe I’m asking the wrong question.  Maybe the question should be, “how badly must women be injured before men are banned from competing against them?”

I’m glad you asked.  The answer is currently, “more than they already have been”.

Rapidly doing nothing

A female field-hockey player from Dighton-Rehoboth, Massachusetts was seriously injured in early November of last year when she blocked a shot made by a boy on the opposing team.

Unfortunately, she blocked the shot with her face.

The impact knocked out several of her teeth and landed her in the hospital where she needed facial reconstructive surgery to repair her shattered jaw.

That was nearly four months ago.  Plenty of time for the State of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) to fix the problem.

So, let me tell you what they’ve done to protect young women from getting injured.

Absolutely nothing.

The stance of the MIAA is this:

“We respect and understand the complexity and concerns that exist regarding student safety. However, student safety has not been a successful defense to excluding students of one gender from participating on teams of the opposite gender.”

You read that right.  This isn’t even a “trans” issue.  The MIAA clearly stated that they’re allowing boys to compete against girls.  They’re not even trying to fix the problem.

The reason?  A Massachusetts law that says that boys can compete on girls’ teams so long as there isn’t a male alternative.  Sort of like a Bizzaro Title IX.

But let’s cut Massachusetts some slack.  Maybe a girl getting the crap beaten out of her by an opposing male player is an isolated incident.

Except it isn’t.

That dude looks like a…well…like a dude

Just last month, the coach of the Lowell (Massachusetts) Collegiate Charter School forfeited the game against KIPP Academy before half-time.  The reason, because three of his players were injured by a boy playing on the opposing team.

There’s even a video showing the male player throwing a female player to the floor as he violently wrestles the basketball away from her.  She was helped to her feet by her teammates and hobbled off the court with what appeared to be a back injury.

In this case, the boy is pretending to be a girl.  However, with reports of him being well over six feet tall and sporting facial hair, it’s obvious he’s not putting much effort into his costume.

So, after watching his girls fall one by one to injuries caused by a boy, the coach and his players walked off the court.

As I mentioned earlier, according to Massachusetts law, a boy can’t be allowed to play on a girls’ basketball team if there is a boys’ basketball team.  However, if the boy is pretending to be a girl, even if he’s pretending poorly, he must be allowed to compete against the girls.

There’s no word yet on how this coach and his team will be punished for their defiant act of self-preservation.

Not a new problem

This sort of thing has been going on for at least 10 years.  In 2014, Boyd Burton, an MMA fighter, Navy vet and, at the time, a 31-year-old father, started competing in the women’s division.  In one fight, he pummeled his opponent so badly that she suffered a concussion, a broken orbital bone and required seven staples in her head.  This all happened in the first three minutes of the fight.

Proponents of this travesty will call this an example of Boyd being “courageous”.  I call it what it really is, allowing a man to beat a woman half to death.

So, if a shattered jaw, or concussions, or nearly being beaten to death, or a large boy injuring more than half of the opposing team isn’t enough, then what is?

Sadly, it won’t be long before we have a chance to see if the latest injury will be severe enough.  Because boys are injuring girls with increasing frequency.  And, as more boys are allowed to compete against girls, the injuries are becoming more and more severe.

The day is coming when a boy will injure a girl so brutally, that even the people implementing these ridiculous policies can no longer ignore it.

Out of left field

And when it happens, I’ll tell you exactly what’s going to happen next.

Some asshole government representative will hold a press conference and act all perplexed and bewildered.  He (or she) will look straight into the camera and say that a girl being injured so severely by a boy came as a huge surprise to everyone, and that there was no way that anyone could predict that sort of thing would happen.

You know, just like how the Mayor of New York City is now saying how nobody could predict that making your city a sanctuary for illegal aliens would lead to an increase in crime and a strain on government services.

Yeah.  Right.

How badly does a girl have to be physically injured before it outweighs the potential for someone to have hurt feelings?

Would losing an eye be enough?  How about losing both eyes?  Would that do it?  Maybe a compound fracture or a broken neck would be the catalyst needed for change.

What’s your limit?  How many more girls need to be injured before this madness stops?

I would say, and probably you would too, that we reached that point more than a decade ago, when Boyd Burton nearly killed his female opponent.

But Liberals?  Not so much.

The Liberal take on this is that there is no injury bad enough.  And, that someone’s daughter being maimed or killed is a small price to pay to advance their woke agenda.
