A Great Responsibility

Here’s what I want to know: Why isn’t Mike Johnson president?  Seriously.  How much worse does Biden have to get before someone declares him incompetent?

For years they claimed he was the poster boy for good mental health.  “He’s the best Joe Biden ever”, they said.  Then the debate happened, and nobody believed that anymore.

And he’s only gotten worse since then.  His latest gaff, though there will have undoubtedly been more before I post this, was when he fell asleep at an event in Africa.

Exactly how mentally deficient does one need to be before they can be declared unfit to be president?

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment allows for the Vice President and a majority of cabinet secretaries to declare the President unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office.

So, by my count, including Kamala, there are 14 people involved.  That’s one person who was supposedly elected, and 13 who weren’t.

If eight of them agree that Biden can no longer look after the interests of the United States, they can have him removed from office.

For the love of God, not her.

In which case, Kamala would become president.  Except, we’ve already decided that Kamala isn’t qualified to be president.  And the Democrats appear to agree.  By not removing Joe from office, what the Democrats are essentially saying is that Biden, even in his diminished state, is still a better president than Kamala would be.

Unfortunately, there isn’t really any mechanism to skip over the Vice President in the line of succession.  Well, there is a way.  If there were no Vice President, then the Speaker of the House gets to be president.  And the Speaker of the House is Mike Johnson.

If Kamala truly is looking out for the best interests of our country, she’d resign immediately.  But then we’d have to rely on 13 people who owe their jobs to Joe Biden to grow at least seven pairs and have their meal ticket declared mentally incompetent.

Like that’s ever going to happen.

I’m not arguing that Mike Johnson would make a great president.  But he’d clearly make a better president than either Joe or Kamala.  Besides, he appears to be a Trump supporter.  Which would mean that he could get a head start on implementing some of Trump’s policies.

I know what you’re thinking.  Mike Johnson wouldn’t really have any power since the Democrats control the Senate until January 20th.  That may be true.  But I’m pretty sure he’d put a stop to any more money being sent to Ukraine and there wouldn’t be any more silly pardons.  And, the world would be an even safer place if our enemies knew that one of Trump’s allies was at the helm.

This has got to be criminal.

Here’s something I’d like to know.  At what point does the inaction of Kamala, and Biden’s cabinet secretaries become a dereliction of duty.

The 25th Amendment says that they can declare the president unfit.  But it doesn’t say that they have to declare him unfit.

So, Constitutionally, they may have done nothing wrong.  But could they be charged with something else?

Criminal negligence is when someone acts without reasonable caution, putting another person at risk of injury or death.  For at least the last two years, the United States has effectively had no president.  By letting Biden remain in office, the only people capable of removing him have put the entire country at risk.

Clearly they are all guilty of criminal negligence.  At the very least.

The peaceful transfer of power.

The entire world has watched the same videos we’ve all seen and know like we do that the United States, for all practical purposes, has no president.  And our enemies, and our allies, have taken advantage of that.

Starting with the Taliban, followed by Russia, Ukraine, China, Iran and Hamas, we’ve seen one shit storm after another since Joe took office.

Interestingly, all their shenanigans started ramping down on November 6th at the very instant they all realized Trump is coming back.

I’ve never seen anything like it.  Trump is still more than a month away from returning to the White House and he’s already having a tremendous impact on world events.  I can’t remember a time when any other incoming president began acting as president before inauguration day.

While Joe gets lost in the rainforest and takes naps in Africa, Trump is already, for all practical purposes, the Leader of the Free World.

What Trump has accomplished in the weeks since the election is an excellent example of the kind of an impact that a president acting presidential can have.  Without even having the power of the office, Donald Trump is making the world a safer place.

We dodged a bullet.

Can you imagine what would have happened if Kamala had won?  China would have already invaded Taiwan.  Iran would be tossing nukes at Isreal, and, quite possibly, Russia would be using a few of their nukes to turn Ukraine into a parking lot.

Trump is still weeks away from being inaugurated as our 47th president.  With no real power, he is still single-handedly preventing World War III on three separate fronts.

But Trump made the world safer the first time he was in office too.  So, anyone paying the least amount of attention could have seen the difference between a president acting presidential and…well…Joe just being Joe.

There is no way Kamala and the thirteen cabinet secretaries didn’t know that.  And yet they did nothing.  I say that the mere fact that the 25th Amendment exists implies that those that can trigger it have a responsibility to do so.

There should be no politics involved with this decision.  The only thing that matters is whether Joe can perform the duties of his office.  Which he clearly can’t.  Neither can Kamala.

With great power comes great responsibility (I’m quoting Voltaire, not Spider-Man).  Kamala, and Joe’s cabinet, took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America.  They all failed to do so, and they failed on purpose.  And that is treason.

What goes around, comes around.

When Pam Bondi is sworn in as our Attorney General, I’d like to see her investigate Kamala and every one of Biden’s cabinet secretaries.  When did they realize that he was unfit to serve and why didn’t they do anything about it?

Unless Biden does more of his ambiguous and far-reaching pardons, these people should end up in prison.  Or executed.  Every single one of them.  And that includes Jill Biden, the Chief of Staff and anyone else who had daily contact with Joe.

This wouldn’t be a weaponization of the DOJ. It would simply be trying to figure out why Biden was left in power when he was so obviously incapable of doing the job.

Fourteen people had a responsibility to protect the Office of the President.  And they didn’t do it.  So, they should face the consequences of their inaction.  Whatever that may be.
