I’d be willing to bet that a good number of you have been censored by Facebook. You’ve might have had a “fact check” warning placed on your posts or maybe even put in Facebook jail for a while. Just for saying something they didn’t like.
On February 8th, Facebook announced they were going to expand their efforts to remove false claims on their platforms. One such claim was that COVID-19 is man-made or manufactured. Facebook’s reasoning was that the claims had been “debunked” by the experts. A lot of us have gotten our fingers slapped by Facebook for saying just that.
Yesterday (May 26th) they decided that they were no longer going to punish people who said the virus that causes COVID-19 is man-made. Wait a minute. I know of people that lost tons of money because Facebook “de-platformed” them for saying something then that has been deemed OK to say now. Oops.
Facebook can do whatever they want with their platform, because it’s their platform. The First Amendment only protects us from government censorship. It doesn’t protect us from private censorship. So, Facebook is doing nothing illegal when they censor posts that they deem to be dangerous.
The problem is that they banned the claim of a man-made virus back in February, “following consultations with leading health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO)”.
Let’s see if we have this straight, Facebook took the word of the WHO at face value. In other words, Facebook listened to an organization that is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party when they said that the Chinese Communist Party had nothing to do with creating the Chinese Communist Party virus.
Then, they used that information to “debunk” the claim, and as justification to silence anybody who disagreed with their conclusion. Until they didn’t.
But Facebook is still censoring COVID-19-related content. Still showing on their list of things you can’t say are “Claims about the safety or serious effects of COVID-19 vaccines including: Claims that COVID-19 vaccines kill or seriously harm people…”.
WTF?
There is no dispute that a lot of people have had an adverse reaction to being vacksinated. In fact, as of this minute, 227,612 people in the United States have reported a bad reaction to being injected with an experimental drug. 3,401 of them have died. That’s just in the U.S. And those numbers are rising.
So how did Facebook decide to quash information about reactions to the vackseens?
What happened is that Facebook “fact checked” the claims of adverse reactions by asking the drug companies if their experimental drugs are dangerous. The drug companies said, “nope”, and that reports of the vackseens causing numerous bad side effects haven’t been proven to be true. Facebook took them at face value. To Facebook, the word of companies who have billions of dollars at stake is enough to “debunk” cold hard data.
Facebook claims that they’re limiting the discussion about adverse reactions because they’re tying to encourage people to get vacksinated. Facebook thinks that if people hear about the things that may go wrong, they’ll be less likely to want to be injected. Duh!
You can’t sue the drug companies if someone you love dies from the vackseen, but can you sue Facebook? I believe you should be able to. Facebook is deliberately manipulating people by intentionally holding back truthful information that could be used to make informed medical decisions.
Under the guise of being socially responsible, Facebook is actually putting people’s lives in danger. By censoring the truth about bad side effects (including death), Facebook is making it difficult for people to identify the level of their own personal risk.
It’s easy to imagine that someone could decide to get the vackseen when, in reality, they’re at high risk of death if they do so. They just didn’t know. Because Facebook wouldn’t let them know.
I believe if Facebook wants to be in the business of selectively de-platforming the truth, then they should be held accountable for any adverse reactions resulting from the ignorance they cause.
