Election Flawed 2024

I’ll admit, as I watch the countdown to the upcoming election, I get a sense that Trump’s momentum is building while Kamala’s supporters are starting to wake up to the fact that she’s an idiot.

I want to be optimistic.  I should be optimistic.  But I’m not.

If it were just a matter of momentum, I’d rest easy knowing that our 45th President will soon become our 47th President.  But I get the nagging feeling that things aren’t as they appear to be.

I’d like to believe that our elections are fair.  But I’m having a really hard time doing so.

The problem I have is that nobody has even tried to explain all the shenanigans we all witnessed in the 2020 election.  There has not been a single attempt by anyone to explain any of it.  The only response we’ve gotten is that the claims of election fraud are “baseless”.

Nobody has told me why Conservative election monitors were stopped from performing their duties.  Or explained to me how sending everyone home, and then scanning ballots pulled from beneath a table isn’t at least a little bit sketchy.  Or given me a reason how Trump could be ahead the night before, and then mysteriously, and magically, overnight, millions of Biden ballots appeared.  Or explained how thousands of votes just happened to flip from Trump to Biden.  In real time.  On live TV.

There have been no explanations.  We’re just supposed to believe that all these things are perfectly normal.  And that they won’t happen again.  Probably.  Maybe.

Legal vs. Justice

The problem I have with that is that we’re being told all these things are just fine by the same people who would be responsible for any election fraud were it happening.

That’s like asking the Mayor of Aurora, Colorado if there are any issues with Tren de Aragua in his city.  Of course there is.  But when asked, he claimed there wasn’t.  And he continued with the claim until the problem got so bad that even he couldn’t ignore it.

So, when I hear election officials in various locations deny claims of election fraud, I find it impossible to take their word at face value.

The courts have been no help at all.  I heard recently that we don’t have a justice system in the United States, we have a legal system.  Nowhere is that more obvious than with election interference in the 2020 election.  No one is looking for justice.  They’re just going through the legal motions, so it gives the appearance that they’re looking for justice.

Trump never had his day in court.  Well, that’s not technically true, he’s had lots of days in court due to the lawfare waged against him, but none of those days had anything to do with election interference.

Well, that’s not technically true either.  He’s been accused of election interference.  But none of the people who have actually committed election interference have been brought to justice.  Or even charged.

Making a Bad Problem Worse

I’m concerned that no matter how many votes Trump gets, he’s still going to lose.  Not only were none of the wonky things we saw in 2020 fixed, or even investigated, but the Democrats have also spent a tremendous amount of energy over the past four years to make it even easier to cheat.

Tell me something, why would anybody who is serious about election integrity fight against voter IDs?

The answer is obvious.  They wouldn’t.  Implementing a voter ID system is a relatively easy thing to do and would go a long way towards making sure people can’t cheat.  So, it makes no sense for anyone to do anything except work as hard as you can to make Voter IDs happen.  But the Democrats have spent the better part of the last four years working to stop Voter IDs from being a reality.

Similarly, why would anyone fight against making sure that illegal aliens can’t vote?  Again, the answer is obvious.  Nobody should be working to make it easier for illegal aliens to exploit our election system.  And nobody who wants our elections to be fair would be.

And yet the Federal Government has been suing states to stop them from removing illegal aliens from the voter rolls.  Just this week, the Department of Justice sued the State of Virginia for trying to keep illegal aliens from voting.

Legal Stupidity

Now, to be fair, according to the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 it is technically against the law to remove illegal aliens from voter rolls within 90 days of an election.  A bill, I should add, that was overwhelming supported by Democrats in both the House and Senate.  But, as we’ve learned from paying attention to the lawfare waged against Trump, the Department of Justice has broad discretion concerning which laws they enforce, and which laws they don’t.

We’ve known for nearly four years that the Democrat’s strategy is to flood the country with illegal aliens with the hope that the aliens will flood the election results with Democrat votes.  What we’re seeing now is the end game of that strategy.

Then there are the external factors that can influence the election.  You know, things like water main breaks, power outages and malfunctioning voting machines.  I wouldn’t be concerned at all if these appeared to be random coincidences that happened equally as often in blue as they do in red districts.  But I’d like someone to explain, or even just try to explain how these things just “coincidentally” all occurred in primarily red-voting districts.

Don’t Waste a Crisis

There’s a famous quote that has often been attributed to Winston Churchill.  People disagree on who actually said it first, but who said what and when probably isn’t relevant to my point.  So, instead of calling it a “quote”, let’s call it a “phrase”.  The phrase is: “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”

Let’s take a look at that in action.

You may have seen claims by people, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, that hurricanes Helene and Milton were steered from their initial paths onto primarily Conservative areas.  I just can’t see how that could possibly be true.

While we have had the ability to alter weather for some time, cloud seeding is an example, changing the path of a hurricane is an entirely different thing.  It’s just not possible.   Certainly not by the time the storm gets to the Gulf of Mexico.  Even if you could do it, it would take a tremendous amount of energy to move a weather system hundreds of miles wide.

Our electrical grid is so fragile we can’t even let people run their air conditioners at the same time other people are trying to charge their electric cars.  There’s no way we’ve got enough energy leftover to try to steer a hurricane.  Besides, if that amount of energy were available, it’s not something you could hide.

Crisis Exploited

Hurricanes can’t be created by humans, and they can’t be steered.  But they can be exploited.  We’ve all seen Kamala try to use the suffering of people in the Southeast to her political advantage.  And we’ve all heard about the hotels full of rescue workers waiting days before deploying to the disaster areas.

It’s not all that hard to believe that the Democrats didn’t want to waste a good crisis and were the ones orchestrating the delays.  Primarily because they’re the ones coordinating the government response.  But also, because they’re the ones who gain from a delayed response.  The more they can delay, the harder it will be for folks in the hardest hit areas to vote.  And guess what?  Those areas that weren’t, and aren’t, receiving timely support are the areas where the people most likely to support Trump live.

And don’t get me started on mail-in-ballots.  Mail-in-ballots are quite possibly the single biggest exploit in our election process.  Anyone with half a brain could take a quick glance and see that there is no possible way to secure those ballots.  And anyone who says differently is either working with less than half of a brain or is purposely spreading bad information.

Fromage Suisse

The point is that our election system has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.  The government has had four years to plug those holes and hasn’t fixed a single one of them.  Instead, an incredible amount of effort has been spent making sure the problem got worse.

Was there election fraud during the 2020 election?  Absolutely.  Will there be election fraud in 2024?  Undoubtedly.  Looking ahead to next month, the question isn’t whether there will be election fraud, the question is how much fraud will there be.

There is no doubt in my mind that Trump should win the election.  I want to be optimistic.  I should be optimistic.  But I’m not.

Because I fear that when we look back at 2024 and ask ourselves “how much election fraud was there”, the answer will be “enough”.
